Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,260 per week in Rochester, NY

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: NY state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS required Must-Have: Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and placing IVs is required. Experience with Patient Diagnoses including DKA, Acute Respiratory needs, ETOH Withdrawal, Sepsis, and heavy nursing procedures. Description: This position involves caring for a patient population with various complex needs. The nurse will be responsible for a patient ratio of 1:3 on all shifts. Floating to other units may be required. Weekend coverage is every other weekend. The unit houses 12 beds. Additional competencies include blood product administration, central line care, feeding tube care, and management of dysrhythmias. Nurses must be proficient in managing patient care using telemetry and also have experience in non-invasive airway management. Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams is essential to patient care. Special equipment utilized in this unit includes CADDS and PCA pumps. Strong communication and teamwork skills are required to ensure high-quality patient care.
