Weekend requirements include 8 weekend shifts within a 6-week scheduling period. Key certifications include BLS and NIHSS, with ACLS being preferred. Work settings involve Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, and PCU/Intermediate Care Units. Required skills include cardiac monitoring, emergency response, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and telemetry monitoring. Candidates must manage various patient conditions, such as heart failure, stroke, and seizures. Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and medication management is essential. Isolation precautions, wound care, and other professional skills are also necessary. Regular floating may occur among departments and units as needed.
