Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,263 per week in Richmond, VA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Current RN license required (VA or compact state) Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Epic charting experience required Preferred BSN Description: The position is for a registered nurse in a progressive care unit. Patient ratio is 1:4. Travelers must work a minimum of two holidays during the contract. Every other weekend coverage is required. Candidates may be asked to float within their scope of practice as needed. The unit provides interdisciplinary support from various teams. Common patient diagnoses in this unit include bariatric surgery, colorectal surgery, plastic surgery, urology surgery, and surgical oncology. Special procedures performed in the unit include continuous bladder irrigation, flap surgeries, microsurgery, HIPEC procedures, Whipple surgeries, and leech therapy. Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry, and conscious sedation. Candidates must have experience with specific patient care equipment. All candidates will undergo a background check and may be subject to additional requirements during the hiring process. Modules related to the position will need to be completed during the orientation period.
