Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,272 per week in Fairmont, WV

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown/MedSurg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Stepdown experience Description: Unit consists of 20 beds. Staffing ratios are 1:3 in stepdown and 1:5-6 on the floor. Common diagnoses include respiratory issues, weakness, urinary tract infections, acute kidney injury, and chest pain. Registered Nurses will be required to titrate drips. Common titratable and/or set rate drips include heparin, insulin, Cardizem, and amiodarone. Charge Nurse and House Supervisor are present on the unit. There are nurse aides on this unit, with 2 per shift. Respiratory therapy equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow devices. Telemetry is available in the unit, with monitoring performed by dedicated staff. Registered Nurses are responsible for reading cardiac strips. Schedules include three weekend shifts every four weeks. Holiday rotations will be required between evening and day shifts. There is no call or standby requirement. Scrub color is royal blue. Unit-specific orientation will be conducted. Cancellation policy allows for the client to cancel 2 shifts per 13-week assignment and 1 shift for shorter assignments. Charting system used is EPIC.
