Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts; scheduling reviewed every 4 weeks based on department needs; weekend coverage variable based on unit needs
Highlights:
Specialty unit caring for newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients in an adult and geriatric population
Nurse-to-patient ratio goal of 1:4, may extend to 1:5
High-acuity medical unit with frequent blood product administration, IV antibiotics, and electrolyte management
Epic charting system with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
72-hour orientation period with one pre-approved time off period available
Rotating shifts may include days, nights, or combination based on staffing priorities; oncology experience preferred but not required
Requirements:
Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license)
Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience with at least 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
Current acute care experience within the last 12 months required
BLS and ACLS certifications required
NIHSS certification preferred; ONS Chemo certification preferred but not required for this position
Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and peripheral line management, PICC line management, and blood product administration
Epic charting experience required
Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
Previous travel nursing experience required
2 professional references required, including at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor
