Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,293 per week in Flint, MI

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 Years Required License: Must have valid nursing license prior to start Certifications: ACLS, NIHSS Preferred Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with charting systems, specifically Epic Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care for adult medical patients requiring a PCU level of care. Patients may include those transitioning from critical care units, postoperative patients, and renal/dialysis patients. Nurses will manage complex medication infusions and perform cardiac monitoring. Floating to other adult units of similar or lower care levels may be required. Weekend shifts are mandatory, occurring every other week. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on their needs. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential for patient management. The environment includes managing a patient caseload of 4 patients per nurse. Experience with accessing and managing ports, as well as administration of blood products is expected. Skills in handling various medical equipment and implementing protocols are required. Knowledge of isolation precautions and patient safety measures is necessary. Willingness to float within the scope of practice to meet facility needs is a requirement.
