Description:
Care for patients with a wide range of medical conditions such as COPD, CHF, Diabetes, sepsis, renal issues, DKA, alcohol withdrawal, overdoses, pneumonia, and other respiratory conditions.
Provide care for neuro, surgical, and cardiac patients.
Administer treatments using Bipap, Cpap, tracheostomies, chest tubes, NG tubes, PICC lines, and central lines.
Manage care for ablation and catheterization lab patients, as well as dialysis patients.
Utilize computerized charting and medication systems.
Experience with EMR systems is essential.
Nurses will work three 12-hour shifts with rotating nights, weekends, and holidays.
Floating to other units may be required based on experience.
The bed size for the unit is 32 beds, all private rooms.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 3-4 patients per nurse.
Dress code is scrubs of any color.
Orientation includes one day with the education team and one day on the floor.
