Description:
The position is for an IMCU Unit (Stepdown).
The schedule will primarily consist of night shifts but may include mid or variable shifts as needed.
Required experience includes a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
Candidates must have the following certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
Local candidates may be considered at a lower rate.
First-time travelers are not accepted.
Candidates must be proficient in accessing and managing ports, arterial line management, and blood product administration.
Knowledge of cardiac telemetry, central line care and management, and chest tube management is essential.
Experience in managing and interpreting arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias is required.
Proficiency in IV insulin protocols, managing cardiac and vasoactive drips, and isolation precautions is necessary.
Candidates should be skilled in various nursing procedures, including IV starts, phlebotomy, and wound care.
Familiarity with patient population including adults and geriatrics is important.
Strong interdisciplinary support teams are available, including physical therapy and respiratory services.
Additional skills such as managing tracheostomy care and performing procedural sedation monitoring are advantageous.
