Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down, PCU, IMC Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current State License Certifications: CPR, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required Description: We are seeking an experienced RN for our Intermediate Care Unit. The candidate must have a current state license, CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification is required. Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and state laws/practice act. Documents according to standards of care. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by the physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise to provide guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care. Utilizes critical thinking in relation to patient safety and patient experience, and appropriately escalates concerns to the appropriate chain of command. Holiday coverage is required.
