Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,316 per week in Madison, WI

Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN). The traveler will work in both an IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care unit and an IMC Thoracic unit. This position requires day and evening shifts, 12 hours each day from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Monday through Friday shifts with every other weekend and some holidays are required. Nurses will provide comprehensive and specialized nursing care to acutely ill adult patients with multiple comorbidities and hemodynamic instability. Specialty populations include patients diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension and post lung transplant. The nursing function requires critical thinking and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. The unit has a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio for IMC nursing. The team works collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to advocate for quality patient care. Experience in an academic medical environment or Level 1 Trauma Center is preferred. Proficiency in managing various medical devices and procedures is essential. Candidates must have the ability to float as needed between units. Telemetry experience is crucial, and candidates must demonstrate strong skill in identifying lethal rhythms. The traveler will have two attempts to pass a telemetry exam; specific passing criteria apply. Failure to meet the required qualifications may result in cancelation of the assignment.
