Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,335 per week in Spokane, WA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU/Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Cardiac drip management experience (titrate and manage) - Ability to float between units if overstaffed - Weekend coverage every other week Description: PCU/Stepdown RN position available. Candidates may choose one holiday to work, either Thanksgiving or Christmas, but cannot choose both. Stepdown or PCU nursing experience is essential. Experience with cardiac drips is a hard stop requirement. If overstaffed, travelers will float to Tele or Med-Surg floors. On-call is not required. Weekend work is required every other weekend. Block schedules are not required. The expected patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4-5. The facility type is a short-term acute care center with a Level II Trauma designation. Total beds in the facility: 629. The facility is a teaching hospital. Scrub color is flexible for RNs. The charting system utilized is Epic. Travelers can be expected to float between nearby facilities. Patients in the unit are adults and geriatrics, with a daily census that varies. Important patient diagnoses include CHF, Afib RVR, chest pain, and post-cardiac procedures. A strong interdisciplinary support team is available, including IV teams and respiratory services. Candidates must be able to manage and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips. References required include two covering one year of employment within the last three years. Refusal to float between units may affect guaranteed hours and the assignment. Candidates should not reach out to facility contacts unless arranged through proper channels.
