Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,338 per week in Madison, WI

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required Must-Have: Telemetry, oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required Vent and transplant experience required Description: Traveler will work on an Intermediate Care unit and provide care to acutely ill patients. Evening and night shifts are required from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Travelers will work Monday through Friday, with every other weekend and some holidays required. Candidates must be proficient in telemetry and must pass a telemetry test prior to starting. The unit cares for patients with a variety of medical diagnoses and complexity. Nurses on this unit provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients. Interdisciplinary support includes various specialties such as physical therapy and respiratory services. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong critical thinking skills and teamwork. The unit requires experience within an Academic Level I or II trauma center or similar size hospital. The patient ratio on this unit is typically 1:2 for IMC patients and 1:4 for general care. Candidates must have experience with multiple complex patient cases and be skilled in telemetry monitoring.
