Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,341 per week in Columbus, OH

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Progressive Care Unit required License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: IV start experience Telemetry experience Previous travel experience preferred Description: Weekdays and some weekends required. Rotating holidays may be necessary. Floating within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity is required. Estimated patient ratios are 1:3 during night shifts. A minimum of 2 years of Progressive Care Unit experience is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. Skills in central line care/management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and management of cardiac drips (no titration) are necessary. Experience with heparin protocols, insulin drips, and high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) is also required. Unit will care for a wide variety of patient diagnoses, including renal, hepatology, cardiology, and pulmonology. Special procedures include the management of cardiac drips and high flow oxygen. Registered Nurses must be responsive and cooperative with credentialing processes. All candidates are required to provide two professional references, one being from a manager or director. Former employees eligible for an assignment must have been away for 6 months or more. Current employees are ineligible for hire as travelers. Education must be from an accredited nursing program.
