Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro Progressive Care Unit – Michigan

Location: Michigan

Schedule: Standard unit schedule with every other weekend and holiday rotation. No on-call requirements.

Requirements:

• Active Michigan RN license (verified through LARA and/or Nursys)
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
• Neuro Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Current NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
• Skills checklist pertinent to PCU specialty (current within 1 year)
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
• Recent travel work history highly preferred

Responsibilities:

• Conduct ongoing patient assessments and provide skilled nursing services according to physician-authorized care plans
• Deliver direct patient care including medication administration, treatments, patient education, and response to patient needs
• Function as team leader and resource, delegating and providing direction to support staff
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to establish and evaluate patient goals and outcomes
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness and participate in care plan revisions using evidence-based practice
• Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and facility-specific policies
