Description

Job Title: LPN/LVN Profession: LPN/LVN Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid LPN/LVN license Certifications: ACLS required Must-Have: Epic experience Description: The nursing staff in our Progressive Critical Care Unit provide care for medically delicate and surgically complex patients. Common conditions include respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications. Candidates must be competent in the care of medical and surgical populations. Skills in advanced hemodynamics, including pressor usage per titration protocols, are essential. Experience with antihypertensive drips, sedative drips, Narcan drips, thrombo-embolytics, a line, CVP, EVD, ortho traction, and infection prevention protocols is required. Familiarity with HFNC, BiPap/Cpap, and oxypendent is also expected. Nurses with significant adult PCU experience and experience in community hospital ICUs are highly regarded. The average patient load is three high-acuity patients. A competency test may be required after submission.
