Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty prior to travel. License: Must have a permanent Ohio license or compact state license. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (all required to be active). Must-Have: - Minimum of 18 months recent Step Down experience (travel experience will suffice). - ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments must be completed during orientation. - Must be willing to work at least every other holiday. - Reference from a manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required for submission. Description: This position involves working in a step-down unit. The role includes caring for patients in a critical but stable condition. The facility has varied patient populations, and occasionally, you may float to other units. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary to meet operational needs. All required certifications must be current and have no pending issues. Applicants must have a clean background with no open cases. A nicotine-free drug screen is required except for specific exempt roles. Candidates must comply with applicable fingerprinting and badge acquisition protocols. Completion of pre-start modules is necessary prior to starting the role. Average module hours may vary based on specialty requirements.
