Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of previous experience required. At least 1 travel contract completed preferred. License: State license (Illinois required; Iowa required upon offer). Certifications: BLS (AHA) ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: Experience with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines. Knowledge of medications such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban with some titration experience. Profile should include a valid driver's license. Work history/resume required. Skills checklist must have been completed within 1 year of submission date. License verification required. Copy of required certifications. One supervisory reference required at the time of submission. Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility. Description: As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler contributes professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients. The traveler may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses. The position includes a rotating schedule that may require working 1-2 of the following summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day. Participants will be expected to demonstrate competencies in various critical care scenarios. Availability for orientation sessions is required as determined by facility schedules.
