Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, 1:4 patient ratio
Highlights:
Progressive Care Unit specializing in orthopedic and neurosurgical patients including total joint replacements and spinal procedures
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
Experience with advanced skills including central line management, vasoactive drips, telemetry monitoring, and ventilatory support
First-time travelers welcome to apply; minimum 1 year of PCU or step-down experience required
Float opportunities within the health system to expand clinical skills and experience
Weekend shifts required as part of schedule rotation
Requirements:
Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit, Step-Down, IMC, or DOU experience
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
Proficiency in arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP, blood product administration, central line care, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, telemetry, and wound care
Willingness to float to other units within the organization as needed
Two professional references required (at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor)
Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing
Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
