Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,650 per week in Olympia, WA

Job Title: Float Personnel RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience required License: Valid State Compact License required Certifications: ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Previous charge experience, experience in the US clinical setting Description: This position is for a Float RN in the PCU/Step Down unit. The shift is from 19:00 to 07:30. Patient population can include various types such as ER boarded patients, telemetry, and medical-surgical. The team floats to meet the needs of the institution. Nurse to patient ratios may vary from 1:4 to 1:6 depending on unit acuity. Candidates must have experience in US clinical settings; Canadian experience is not sufficient. Candidates may need to fulfill charge nurse responsibilities on smaller units, if applicable. Charge nurse experience is required. Core charge duties include managing staffing needs, bed flow, and general coordination. Specialty procedures and equipment will vary by unit assignment. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Prior experience in managing diverse and acute patient populations is essential. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities as needed. Candidates must provide two references covering one year of experience during the compliance process. Refusal to float may lead to termination of the assignment. Communication devices will be supplied as needed to perform duties.
