This role will involve working within a mixed acuity unit, providing post-operative and complex care to a diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities of the PCU Registered Nurse- Provide high-quality care to surgical and general medical patients
- Manage wound care, including wound dressings and wound vac management
- Administer medications, including heparin and insulin gtts
- Perform blood administration and manage traction systems
- Deliver care for patients requiring high flow and stable BiPAP
- Handle PCA pain management effectively
Requirements of the PCU Registered Nurse- BLS, NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of STAC experience, 3 preferred
- Experience in stepdown or Tele environments
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR system
