Seven Healthcare is pleased to present an exciting travel opportunity for an experienced Travel Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse in Plattsburgh, New York. This contract offers a competitive weekly blended rate of $2,700, based on three 12-hour day shifts per week (3x12s days), providing an excellent opportunity to expand your step-down and critical care expertise in a highly regarded healthcare facility committed to patient safety and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities of the Travel PCU Registered Nurse:
  • Provide high-quality care to patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessment
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and clinical status for patients transitioning from ICU-level care
  • Administer medications, including IV drips and cardiac medications, as prescribed
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal care outcomes
  • Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate care when necessary
  • Accurately document patient status using EMR systems
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery, and discharge instructions
Requirements of the Travel PCU Registered Nurse:
  • Active RN license (New York or compact state, if applicable)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent PCU, step-down, or telemetry RN experience in an acute care hospital
  • Strong cardiac monitoring, assessment, and critical thinking skills
