Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,753 per week in Dayton, OH

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years in a similar setting required. License: Active state RN license or compact license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS required. Must-Have: Cardiac experience required. Must have EPIC experience. Ability to read and interpret EKG strips. Experience with drawing arterial blood gases (ABGs). Description: The unit manages a variety of cardiac and other medical conditions. Targeted patient ratios are 1:4, but can be up to 1:5-6. The team nursing model is utilized, partnering RNs, LPNs, and PCTs. Nurses may function in team nursing or primary nursing based on unit needs. Travelers will first float at the discretion of the unit. Assignments may include a mix of high-risk respiratory units and other areas. The unit handles telemetry, drips, and post-cardiac procedures. The responsibilities involve managing cardiac drips without titration. Candidates should be adept in managing dysrhythmias and IV protocols. Experience in treating various conditions including respiratory failure and sepsis is preferred. Weekly availability for every other weekend and holiday is necessary. Travelers must comply with floating and skill set assignments without restrictions. This role will not involve patients on ventilators or continuous sedation. The expectation includes participation in rapid response and code teams.
