Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Cardiac drips experience - Telemetry experience - Client experience Description: 48 hours guaranteed per week. This position is for a Progressive Care Unit. The unit consists of 16 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1. Staffing includes unit secretaries and tech availability. Equipment utilized includes Welch Allyn VS Machines, Hoyer lift, Sarah Steady Lift, Telemetry, Bladder Scanner, and Doppler. The documentation system used is Meditech. Scheduling requirements include 3 shifts per week with 3-4 weekend shifts. Floating policy allows for agency and contract staff to be floated to areas where they have demonstrated competency. Patient experience requirements include telemetry and stroke knowledge. Candidates will need to possess certifications for ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. Advanced skills needed include proficiency in cardiac drips and basic dysthymia. No specific procedures are performed on the unit. The dress code requires navy blue uniforms.
