Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Medical Step-Down Unit – Georgia

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Medical Step-Down Unit serving 6-20 beds with 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio

Highlights:

• Diverse case mix including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, Type 2 diabetes, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy
• Primary assignment to Medical Step-Down Unit with possible float to other Intermediate Care Units as needed
• Manageable 1:4 patient ratio allowing for quality patient care and clinical skill development
• Opportunity to work with complex medical conditions in a fast-paced intermediate care environment
• Contract assignment beginning September 2026

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of experience in step-down, progressive care, or intermediate care setting
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Experience managing complex medical patients and acuity changes
