Key Responsibilities of the Travel PCU RN:

Provide care to patients with moderate to high acuity needs in a step-down setting
Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and clinical status closely
Administer medications and manage IV therapies, including titratable drips
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and recovery
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR

Requirements of the Travel PCU RN:

Active New York RN license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
BLS and ACLS required
Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or step-down experience
Strong critical thinking and cardiac monitoring skills
