Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - PCU- Administer care to patients with acute coronary syndrome and other cardiac conditions
- Monitor and manage BiPAP/CPAP and insulin drips
- Perform post-cardiac catheterization care and EKGs
- Provide advanced monitoring and frequent observation for drug toxicity and ETOH withdrawal
- Implement thrombolytic therapy and manage hemodynamic instability
- Support patients through major vascular surgery and post-operative care
- Participate in the Resource Float team, adapting to unit needs
Requirements of the Registered Nurse - PCU- Valid AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications; NIHSS prior to start
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a telemetry unit
- Experience with EPIC within the past 2 years
- Prior experience with cardiac and insulin drips, starting IVs, and post-cardiac catheterization
