Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $3,182 per week in Omaha, NE

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care/Oncology Duration: 13 or 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years, including experience in a large, urban hospital License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: - EPIC charting experience - Experience in a Level I Academic Medical Center - Proven ability to float to meet facility needs - Experience with blood product administration, central line care, and management of cardiac and vasoactive drips Description: This position involves providing care in a progressive care unit. The unit serves adult patients receiving surgical and oncology care as well as palliative care. RNs must be flexible and prepared to float frequently to meet staffing needs. High patient ratios are expected for lower acute patients. Travelers are required to work four weekend shifts out of eight possible in a four-week period. Travelers must work two out of three major holidays. Recent Level I trauma facility experience is necessary. Candidates must not have consecutive permanent and travel roles with less than one year in between. A 100% nicotine-free environment is maintained. PTO requests along with the application are required. Travelers must comply with all unit and facility policies and guidelines. This position includes a variety of interdisciplinary support teams to assist in patient care. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in telemetry and the management of complex patient needs.
