Job Summary

This full-time Registered Nurse position is located in Chico, California, within a dynamic Procedural Care Unit specializing in pre and post-interventional radiology procedures. The role focuses on providing comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, closely monitoring their recovery post-procedure, and ensuring a safe and comfortable experience. This involves skilled assessment, intervention, and patient education in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive pre-procedure patient assessments, including medical history review and vital sign monitoring.
• Provide skilled post-procedure recovery care, including continuous patient monitoring, pain management, and complication assessment.
• Administer medications safely and accurately as prescribed.
• Educate patients and their families on post-procedure care, potential complications, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records using EPIC EMR.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in pre and post-procedural recovery.
• Proficiency with EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Interventional Radiology setting.
• Prior successful completion of traveler assignments.
