Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care / Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour PM-AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Must have experience in: - Arterial lines - Ventriculostomies - Subdural drains - Lumbar drains - Hemodynamic monitoring - Invasive blood pressure monitoring License: Current RN license required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required Must-Have: Experience in managing Bi-PAP/C-PAP patients Experience in caring for tracheostomy patients Description: Registered Nurse needed for an immediate start. This position involves working with patients in a step-down unit. The patient population includes those with medical neuromuscular disorders, meningitis, and other neurological conditions. Candidates should have experience with complex surgical conditions such as tumor resections, spinal surgery, and head and neck cancer. Experience managing patients with normal pressure hydrocephalus trials using lumbar drains is required. Candidates will be responsible for the care of patients with low-dose pressors, vasoactive medications, and inotropes. Experience with mannitol and hypertonic saline administration is necessary. Candidates should also have experience caring for patients with complex wounds, and managing various lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients. Experience with ventriculostomies, subdural drains, and lumbar drains is essential.
