Job Title: Behavioral Healthcare Provider 1 Profession: Behavioral Healthcare Provider Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: 52 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Licensed Registered Nurse by the Ohio Board of Nursing Certifications: Completion of master's degree in psychology or related mental health field, or master's degree in nursing with a Mental Health or Psychiatric Nursing concentration Must-Have: - Knowledge of departmental regulations, policy, and procedures - Ability to perform psychosocial interventions with clients - Skills in counseling, testing, and client education Description: The Behavioral Healthcare Provider develops, coordinates, implements, and provides interdisciplinary services related to behavioral and biomedical science. Responsibilities include psychosocial interventions with clients, both individual and group counseling. The provider will develop intervention goals and objectives to educate clients and resolve issues in functioning. This role involves interviewing clients and their families to establish treatment goals and objectives. The provider assesses clients and determines specific intervention techniques, monitoring responses to treatment. Feedback on the effectiveness of prescribed treatment is essential. Evaluation of lower-level behavioral healthcare provider cases is also required. The Behavioral Healthcare Provider maintains necessary documentation to meet federal, state, and local agency requirements. This includes preparing data requiring social histories, admission summaries, court documents, and necessary forms. Participation in treatment teams and program development is expected. Attendance at training meetings and court hearings is a key responsibility. This position requires the establishment of working relationships with other facilities and agencies to coordinate referrals and conduct follow-up services. The candidate should possess knowledge of counseling techniques and be able to handle sensitive matters appropriately. The role may involve unusual working conditions, including exposure to potentially violent clients or unusual environments. Travel to community sites may be necessary as part of the job.
