Description: This is a registered nurse position specializing in behavioral health. The role involves working in an inpatient nursing unit. Flexibility and a team-oriented approach are essential. The nurse will care for patients with various behavioral health diagnoses. Common diagnoses include major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, psychosis, schizophrenia, and anxiety. The position will require working with child, adult, and geriatric populations. Patient ratios will be 1 nurse to 10 patients. Essential equipment will include a vitals machine, EKG, bladder scanner, metal detector, and AED. Electronic health records will be managed using Cerner. The ideal candidate will exhibit self-awareness, kindness, and a patient-centered focus. The dress code requires navy scrubs, and excessive jewelry or hoodies are not permitted. Candidates must have the necessary certifications prior to starting. This position is a part of a new and expanding service line.
