Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN General, Dialysis, Mental Health) Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: 52 weeks Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 10 hours (2:00 PM - 12:00 AM) Experience: Minimum Years of Experience required License: Registered Nurse License required Certifications: Relevant certifications preferred Must-Have: - Ability to perform frequent stair climbing/descending - Experience in a corrections environment Description: Provide care in a healthcare setting. Make rounds and evaluate care needs. Develop and implement care plans. Teach healthcare principles to individuals. Administer medications, including narcotics. Render direct nursing care as needed. Perform specialized procedures, including IV therapy and wound care. Provide oxygen therapy, dialysis, and blood transfusions. Assist in emergency situations, such as code blue events. Direct healthcare staff assigned to the area. Act as the lead worker in charge of the assigned shift in the absence of senior staff. Assist physicians in conducting diagnostic health evaluations. Manage clerical tasks, including charting and documenting medical information. Complete required reports such as incident and accident reports. Document Medicaid information and maintain inventory of controlled substances. Arrange outpatient clinic appointments and medical examinations. Coordinate prescriptions ordered by physicians through local pharmacies. Perform administrative tasks and serve as a liaison within the organization. Conduct and/or attend meetings as required. Serve as an instructor on occasion. Participate as a member or leader of problem-solving teams or groups.
