Description:
The position is for a 26-bed inpatient adult behavioral health department.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6.
Required patient populations include adults aged 55 and older with geriatric psychiatric conditions.
Dementia can be accepted as a primary diagnosis, while bipolar disorder is the second highest diagnosis.
The unit has a seclusion room but is not staffed for 1:1 patient monitoring at this time.
There are no telemetry monitors or monitor technicians on the unit.
Registered nurses are responsible for reading EKG strips.
Shifts are 12 hours in length.
Every third weekend is required.
Holiday shifts may also be required.
The charting system used is EPIC.
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is not required for submission.
This role requires a commitment to provide quality care to individuals with complex psychiatric needs.
