The focus will be on adolescents with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and cognitive disorders. The unit includes both verbal and non-verbal patients. Typical patient ratios are 6 patients per nurse. Nurses may be required to work as charge nurses, without additional pay for those hours. The daily census is approximately 12 patients. Patients typically have a length of stay ranging from 2 weeks to 2 years. Nurses may be expected to float to other age populations as needed. All candidates must pass drug screening prior to onboarding. This facility maintains strict policies against the acceptance of medical marijuana cards. RTO (requests for time off) must be submitted with the initial application.
