Job Title: Behavioral Health Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Permanent RN license required at the time of submittal Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required Must-Have: Charting system experience required All candidates must pass the drug screen on the first try Willingness to float to any age population when scheduling requires Description: The position is for a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse specializing in an adolescent female unit. Candidates must have experience in crisis stabilization and medication management. Responsibilities include participating in group therapeutic activities. Groups are run by nursing staff, mental health workers, and occupational therapists. The unit consists of 22 beds designated for adolescents. Patient diagnoses may include PTSD, suicidal ideation/self-harm, ODD, MDD, and generalized anxiety. Daily census is approximately 20 patients. All staff will provide interdisciplinary support, including phlebotomy and pharmacy assistance. Candidates will be expected to work every other weekend. Additional requirements include the completion of fingerprinting prior to the start date. Former permanent employees must wait a full year before applying for this travel position.
