This assignment offers a competitive weekly rate of $2,100, based on three 12-hour day shifts, and provides the chance to make a meaningful impact within a respected behavioral health setting.

Key Responsibilities of the Children & Adolescent Psychiatric RN:

Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to children and adolescents with acute and chronic behavioral health needs
Conduct assessments, monitor symptoms, and manage medication administration
Implement therapeutic interventions and crisis-prevention strategies tailored to pediatric and adolescent patients
Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, families, and support staff
Maintain a therapeutic environment aligned with trauma-informed and age-appropriate care principles
Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the EMR

Requirements of the Children & Adolescent Psychiatric RN:

Active Kentucky RN license (or ability to obtain before start)
BLS required
Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient children's or adolescent psychiatric/behavioral health experience
Strong de-escalation, communication, and pediatric behavioral health assessment skills
Ability to work effectively with children and adolescents experiencing mental health crises
