This role involves working within a specialized unit providing care to patients mostly over the age of 60 with conditions such as dementia, depression, or suicidal tendencies. Key Responsibilities of the RN - Psych - Travel
Provide care to Gero-psych patients with a 1 to 6/7 nurse-to-patient ratio
Draw blood and manage IVs effectively
Float to Med/Surg units as needed within the scope of practice
Engage with protective services when necessary for patient safety
Requirements of the RN - Psych - Travel
Accredited nursing degree through the ACEN or CCNE
2+ years of experience in a Gero-psych setting
Current BLS and CPI (non-crisis intervention) certifications
Epic experience within the last year, listed on the resume
Willingness to float within the scope of practice
