It comprises a freestanding 61-bed facility with short-term psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults. It also provides partial hospitalization programs for adults. The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. It includes supervising and directing the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, as well as coordinating care with other disciplines. Utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment is key to this position. Essential functions include: Collecting relevant data pertinent to patients' health or situations. Analyzing assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Developing a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implementing the plan, coordinating care delivery, and employing strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluating progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifying outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborating with the team of patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Providing learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly providing health information to patients, families, and the treatment team. Participating in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegating appropriately and coordinating duties of healthcare team members. Performing other job-related duties as assigned.
