Seeking an experienced Nursing Director of Surgical Services to provide strategic and operational leadership for a surgical services department. This role is responsible for overseeing clinical operations, financial performance, regulatory compliance, staff development, physician relations, and quality improvement initiatives while ensuring exceptional patient care outcomes.

Provide 24-hour leadership and oversight of Surgical Services operations
Develop and manage departmental budgets and financial performance
Oversee supply chain management and resource allocation
Lead recruitment, onboarding, staff development, performance evaluations, and retention initiatives
Foster physician engagement and positive interdisciplinary relationships
Ensure compliance with accreditation, regulatory, and quality standards
Monitor and improve patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes
Manage department strategic planning and operational improvement initiatives
Oversee staffing productivity, scheduling, payroll approvals, and timekeeping processes
Ensure proper maintenance and operation of surgical equipment and instrumentation
Participate in medical staff committees and organizational leadership initiatives
Develop action plans to support volume growth and operational excellence
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Management, or related field
Current Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) License
Minimum 5 years of nursing management experience in a hospital setting
Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience
Progressive Operating Room (OR) leadership experience required
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
Experience leading Surgical Services departments
WOCN Certification (for applicable wound care experience)
Strong budgetary, operational, and strategic planning expertise
Proven Surgical Services leadership experience
At least 5 years of progressive management experience in the OR setting
Strong physician relations and employee engagement skills
Experience driving quality improvement and regulatory compliance initiatives
Effective communicator with strong leadership and team-building abilities
