Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• 1+ year of psych nursing or behavioral health experience preferred
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• CPI or HWC certification
• ADN required; additional nursing education welcomed
• Ability to pass a background check
• Strong communication, teamwork, flexibility, and de-escalation skills

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to adult psychiatric and behavioral health patients
• Support voluntary admissions, detox, and other behavioral health needs
• Monitor patient status and respond appropriately in a fast-paced psychiatric setting
• Use therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques to support a safe environment
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to improve patient outcomes and unit flow
• Float between the patient floor and admissions as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established unit procedures
