Job Summary:
Psychiatric Nurse, Dulles, VA This inpatient behavioral health unit requires a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality psychiatric care. The role involves working in a 17-bed inpatient behavioral health unit, adhering to facility policies, and functioning within a team dedicated to patient safety and recovery.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, at least 1 year of inpatient behavioral health RN experience, CPI training, BLS certification, fingerprinting completion, compliance with unit-specific policies, and permitted to work in Virginia
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Meditech documentation system, knowledge of inpatient psychiatric procedures such as medication administration, lab draws, and accuchecks
- Additional Information:
- Must have CPI training and BLS certification
- Staff with 2 RNs and 2 behavioral health technicians on shift
- Minimal equipment used, documentation via Meditech
- No floating policy; no float rotation required
- Units focus on integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence
- Dress code: navy scrubs
- Supportive in-house security and sitter pool available for patient safety
- Opportunity to work with a dedicated, experienced staff in a well-equipped unit
