Job Summary: Psychiatric Nurse (Adult Unit) in Vermont. This position involves working within a multidisciplinary team to provide complex nursing care for adults experiencing severe mental health challenges. The role requires clinical supervision of Mental Health Workers and adherence to facility policies, including mandatory orientation and RTO blackout periods.
Job Details:
Location: Brattleboro, Vermont
Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications:
Valid Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS (American Heart Association) certification
Recent general adult inpatient psych experience within the last 3 months
At least 5 years of nursing experience, with psych/behavioral health experience and all age groups listed on the resume
Willingness to float to other units and take charge shifts
CPR skills checklist from within the last year
Two supervisory references from the last two years of employment
Candidate's address or driver's license must be included in submission; candidates living within 35 miles of the facility will be subject to a rate decrease
Preferred Qualifications:
CPI training (offered onsite)
Experience with patient populations experiencing depression, bipolar disorder, dual diagnosis, withdrawal, and thought disorders such as schizophrenia
Additional Information:
RTO blackout dates: August 31-September 5, September 8-11, November 2-11, November 30-December 4, December 25-November 30, December 23-27, December 31-January 1
Must be comfortable and highly experienced in adult inpatient psych care
Candidates should include scheduled requests and patient population experience in the submission package
