Adolescent Psych Registered Nurse (RN)

The Adolescent Psych Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of the Patient Care Team responsible for delivering direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process across all areas of the unit. The RN delegates interventions that can be performed by others, supervises as appropriate, assists in maintaining a safe environment for effective nursing care, provides education to patients and families, and collaborates with other healthcare professionals in the planning and management of health care.

Shift Information

• Days: 7 AM - 7 PM
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts)

Job Requirements

• Current Maine RN license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are mandatory.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program is required.
• 1-3 years of previous nursing experience working with children and adolescents is preferred.
• Basic Dysrhythmia knowledge is preferred or should be obtained before the completion of orientation.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training is preferred or should be obtained before the completion of orientation.
• Demonstrated ability to function as a responsible and supportive team player.
• Capability to work effectively in high-stress situations.

This position does not require holiday coverage and is open to candidates with no previous employment history at the organization.
