Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of total nursing experience
• At least 1 year of behavioral health experience
• At least 1 year of acute care or long-term care experience
• Current BLS certification
• CPI or MOAB certification
• EPIC experience preferred
• Ability to care for patients with comorbidities who require strong medical assessment skills

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to geriatric psychiatric patients
• Complete thorough assessments and monitor changes in both medical and behavioral status
• Administer medications and follow treatment plans according to unit protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, mental health technicians, and licensed practical nurses to support patient safety and recovery
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
• Respond appropriately to behavioral health needs while maintaining a calm, therapeutic environment
• Support unit workflow and adapt to floating assignments when needed
