• Position: Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Psych RN)
• Setting: Acute inpatient adult psychiatric services / behavioral health
• Location: Fort Wayne, IN 46805
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 8/24/2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Schedule: 36-40 hours per week with a minimum of 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week period
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Charting System: EPIC
• Floating: Potential float to youth and geriatric behavioral health units
• Orientation: Mandatory orientation required

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1.5 years of psychiatric RN experience required
• Travel RN experience preferred
• Indiana RN license required
• BLS certification from AHA required
• CPI or NVCI required at time of submission
• Experience with EPIC or previous travel experience required
• Experience working with youth and geriatric patients strongly preferred
• Ability to work evening/night schedules and support weekend coverage

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders, hospital policies, and nursing standards
• Assess patient needs and deliver safe, therapeutic psychiatric care in an inpatient behavioral health setting
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and support coordinated care planning
• Respond appropriately to behavioral health needs while promoting patient safety, dignity, and a supportive therapeutic environment
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
• Adapt to patient ratios and unit needs across the assigned shift
• Support floating assignments when needed within related behavioral health units
