Complete Description:

  • Specialty: Psychiatric Nursing – Geriatric Psych
  • Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Schedule: 36/48 hours per week
  • Scheduling: Must be flexible to facility scheduling needs.
  • Experience in Geriatric Psychiatric Nursing required.
  • Strong experience working with geriatric patients in a psychiatric/behavioral health setting.
  • Highly skilled in de-escalation techniques and managing challenging behavioral situations.
  • Provide safe, compassionate, and patient-centered nursing care to geriatric psychiatric patients.
  • Assess patients, administer medications, monitor responses, and document patient conditions appropriately.
  • Collaborate with physicians, behavioral health professionals, and other members of the care team.
  • Maintain a safe therapeutic environment and follow facility policies and behavioral health protocols.
  • Strong communication, critical-thinking, and crisis-management skills required.
