Job Title: Level 3 RN Diagnostic Imaging Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Diagnostic Imaging Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Shift Schedule Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: - 2 years' Registered IR Nursing experience - Telemetry experience required License: - New York RN license Certifications: - BLS (American Heart Association) - ACLS (American Heart Association) Must-Have: - Two years of experience - Telemetry experience Description: This is a fast-paced pre/post interventional radiology department in a level 1 trauma center. We cater to inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan. Nurses work within a multidisciplinary team and are responsible for the pre-procedural preparation of patients and post-procedural recovery and overnight observation care. Experience with GI post-procedural care is preferred but not required. This is an exciting opportunity for nurses who want to work in the high-energy environment of Diagnostic Imaging. We specialize in providing care for patients undergoing CT scans, MRIs, Nuclear Medicine scans, X-rays, and ultrasounds. Good communication skills, as well as the ability to critically think, are essential. If you are team-oriented, enthusiastic, flexible, and organized, we encourage you to apply. Medical/Surgical and telemetry experience is preferred. Registered Nurses are responsible for pre/post and 23-hour care for interventional radiology patients.
