This exciting role involves working in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment providing specialized patient care to adult inpatient and outpatients undergoing various interventional radiology procedures. The IR RN is a crucial part of the critical embolization response team for trauma patients, requiring critical thinking and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities of the IR RN

Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures
Monitor patients intra-procedure and during post-procedure recovery, including PACU
Participate in trauma patient care as part of the critical embolization response team
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient-centered care
Follow infection prevention measures, including wearing hospital-issued scrub attire

Requirements of the IR RN

Valid NYS RN License
BLS (AHA only)
ACLS (AHA only)
Telemetry Experience
1 year of recent IR experience
