Travel/Local Registered Nurse (RN) – Radiology Associate (AUTO OFFER)

Location: Long Island City, NY 11102
Start: 08/03/2026 
Employment Type: Travel/Local Contract
Schedule: 5 Days/Week | 37.5 Hours/Week
Available Shifts: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Local Pay: $65/hr on W2 Without Benefits

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to support a busy Radiology Department. The RN will provide nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures, including CT, MRI, PET, Mammography, and Ultrasound. This role requires strong IV therapy skills, outpatient nursing experience, and the ability to collaborate with the radiology team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to patients undergoing radiology procedures.
  • Perform patient assessments before and after imaging procedures.
  • Initiate and maintain IV access for contrast administration and imaging procedures.
  • Perform Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) as required.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions to contrast media and medications.
  • Ensure radiation safety and patient safety protocols are followed.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Educate patients regarding imaging procedures and post-procedure care.
  • Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR.
Required Qualifications
  • Active New York State RN License
  • BLS (AHA) Certification
  • ACLS (AHA) Certification
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience
  • Minimum 2 years of outpatient/ambulatory nursing experience
  • Radiology nursing experience required
  • IV therapy experience required
  • Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) experience required
  • Knowledge of Radiation Safety
  • Epic EMR experience highly preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience
Education
  • BSN preferred
  • Associate Degree in Nursing accepted with relevant experience.
