Registered Nurse (RN) – Radiology

Location: Long Island City, NY
Job Type: 13+ Contract
Contract Duration: August 31, 2026 – October 31, 2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Hours: 37.5 hours/week (5 days/week)
Local Pay: $65/hr on w2

MD Staffing is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for a Radiology Department assignment in Long Island City, NY. This role supports MRI, CT, PET, Mammography, and Ultrasound procedures by providing IV therapy, patient assessment, and procedural nursing care in an outpatient radiology setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures.
  • Start and maintain IV access for imaging procedures.
  • Perform patient assessments before, during, and after procedures.
  • Monitor patients and respond to changes in condition.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Perform point-of-care testing as needed.
  • Educate patients on procedures, medications, and post-procedure care.
  • Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR.
  • Maintain radiation safety standards and ensure compliance with quality and patient safety protocols.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Active New York State RN License
  • BLS (AHA) Certification
  • ACLS (AHA) Certification
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience
  • Minimum 2 years of ambulatory outpatient and radiology nursing experience
  • IV therapy experience required
  • Point-of-care testing experience required
  • Radiology experience required
  • Radiation safety knowledge required
  • Epic EMR experience highly preferred
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred but not required
  • Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
